The appointment rates are set by our contract with each insurance. Most patients are only responsible for a copay. The copay amount varies for each patient, and is based on the insurance plan you selected. Some insurance plans require a patient to meet their deductible first, but most plans do not. We will verify your benefits with your insurance before your first appointment.
Visit Types
New Patient Comprehensive Evaluation
In this comprehensive initial evaluation for adults age 18 and older, we will discuss your reasons for seeking an evaluation and explore all aspects of your health and well-being, including psychiatric history, medications, relationships, social history, family history, substance use and other lifestyle factors. Our goal is to get to know you as an individual and to learn about your past, current situation, and future goals. After a thorough evaluation, we will create an individualized treatment plan for you, which may include further laboratory or diagnostic testing, medications, psychotherapy, vitamins/supplements, social support, diet/nutrition plans, recommendations for physical activity, and other holistic treatments.
Follow-up Session
Follow-up sessions are used to follow-up and track your response to treatment after your initial evaluation. During follow-up sessions we will evaluate your response to changes in medication, monitor progress, review test results, and provide supportive therapy.
Online Video Session
Dr. Trilok Shah offers all initial and follow up sessions via online video (telepsychiatry) to anyone living in CA, IL, or WI at no additional charge. With online video sessions, you will still receive the same individualized, quality care and we can provide you with electronic prescriptions for medications, if necessary. The only difference, is that you don’t have to worry about traffic and you can have the sessions from the comfort of your home or office! There is no special software required and all you need is a computer or smart phone with a webcam, microphone, speaker and an internet connection with at least 750kb/s download and upload speeds.
